Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Whitsett, NC. You will patrol and monitor assigned areas, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

The role requires 18+ for unarmed positions, a high school diploma, and a background check. Shift schedule includes Fri 8am-4pm, Sat 4pm-12:01am, Sun 4pm-12:00am, with a $16.48 per hour pay rate and drug screening where permitted.

Pay Rate: $16.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Sat 04:00 PM - 12:01 AM

Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office spaces, building exteriors, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with site emergency protocols as directed.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, employees, and visitors while reporting maintenance issues, policy violations, and other security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
