Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Whitsett, NC, to monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter security-related incidents, and deliver excellent customer service at a technology-focused site.

You will use computer or tablet tools, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment while following site procedures and policies.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to background investigation in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office spaces, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.

What You\'ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver\'s license will be required for driving positions only.
