Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for the Piedmont, SC area. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service while ensuring a safe and secure environment for clients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors and visitors while following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking, access points and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain logs, and report concerns per site requirements.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations and notify appropriate contacts and emergency personnel.
• Follow facility protocols for chemical and petrochemical locations, including PPE and restricted areas.

You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. This role values teamwork, integrity, agility, reliability, and innovative service while helping maintain a secure environment.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns according to site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel.
• Observe chemical and petrochemical facility protocols, including required personal protective equipment and restricted-area requirements, while documenting patrol findings and incidents accurately.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
