Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Driver) in Greenup, KY. You will drive to patrol sites, maintain a visible presence, and deliver excellent customer service while enforcing site rules and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent must be possessed.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Criminal histories considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify authorized entry, document visitor and contractor activity, and report unusual conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations clearly, and assist with emergency evacuation or response procedures as directed.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
