Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time - Unarmed Security Officer for Blythewood, SC. You will patrol, deter incidents, assist with access control, and provide exceptional customer service at a manufacturing/industrial site.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and 2+ years in security or related fields. A high school diploma is required, with background checks and drug screening conducted as part of employment.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• At least two years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while following site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, parking areas, entry points, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor/contractor authorization per site procedures; report discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and according to emergency procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents and security-related activities and communicate with Allied Universal leadership.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least two years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
