Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed) for the Blythewood, SC area. You will provide customer service, patrol unarmed areas, and support access control at a manufacturing and industrial site.

The role emphasizes flexibility with a part-time schedule, afternoon shifts, and the opportunity to grow within a respected security team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security-related experience required.
• 2+ years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• A background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and follow site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, methodical manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial locations.
• Monitor access points and report unusual or unauthorized activity.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports accurately per site requirements.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by observing visitor, employee, and contractor activity and reporting unusual or unauthorized access attempts.
• Complete required patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
