Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Blythewood, SC. The role offers afternoon shifts and a pay rate of $19.10 per hour, with a schedule Mon, Thu, Fri 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

You will patrol, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service to deter incidents and maintain a safe site. The position requires at least two years of security-related experience, a HS diploma, and the ability to work in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least two years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles) and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required; licensing may be required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Have at least two years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
