Allied Universal in Allentown, PA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Secure Admissions. You will serve clients, verify access, monitor entry points, and provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Flexible day/evening shifts are available, with pay rate of $18.50 per hour. Ideal candidates are 18+ years old, with a high school diploma, computer-friendly, and able to pass background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing temporary access credentials, and directing authorized personnel.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, deliveries, and vendors in accordance with site procedures, documenting activity and reporting irregularities to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Navigating operating systems and software applications.
  • Utilizing email and communication tools effectively.
  • Performing basic troubleshooting for common technical issues.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
