Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Site Access in Spartanburg, SC. You will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service at a technology, media, and telecom location.

The role offers flexible scheduling with a pay rate of $17.51 per hour and weekend shifts (Sat 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM; Sun 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM).

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Background check and drug screen will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology and logistics location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations following emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, report unusual activity.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs per site requirements.

You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology and logistics location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and/or loading zones; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
