Job summary

Allied Universal in Farmington, NY is seeking a part-time Screening Operations Screener to protect people and assets at a busy logistics location. You’ll monitor access points, screen individuals and items, and support security procedures while delivering strong customer service.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule (Thu/Fri 2:00 PM–11:00 PM) with pay at $16.84 per hour and opportunities to grow through training and the company’s perks program.

Qualifications

• Guard Card or license preferred.
• 2) Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Criminal histories considered in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and security-related procedures at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries; verify access credentials and inspect items as directed.
• Monitor entry/exit points, report suspicious activity, and maintain logs of screening activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate concerns to site leadership and supervision.
• Conduct regular patrols around the facility and perimeter, observing loading areas and access points.

Pay Rate: $16.84 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures, including verifying access credentials and inspecting packages or items as directed.
• Monitor entry and exit points, report suspicious activity or policy violations, and maintain accurate logs of screening activity, visitors, and incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and promptly communicate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, observing loading areas, trailer yards, and access points for security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
