Allied Universal in Farmington, NY is seeking a Part Time Screening Operations Security Officer to monitor access, screen individuals and materials, and support security procedures. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced logistics setting.

This role offers a flexible schedule (Daytime Thu and Fri evenings) with a pay of $16.84 per hour and the chance to grow within a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries per site procedures, including verifying access credentials and inspecting items.
• Monitor entry and exit points, report suspicious activity or policy violations, and maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate concerns to site leadership and supervision.
• Conduct regular patrols around the facility and perimeter to identify security concerns.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures, including verifying access credentials and inspecting packages or items as directed.
• Monitor entry and exit points, report suspicious activity or policy violations, and maintain accurate logs of screening activity, visitors, and incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and promptly communicate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, observing loading areas, trailer yards, and access points for security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
