Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Visibility in Buffalo, NY, offering flexible hours and opportunities to grow toward a full-time schedule. The role emphasizes reliable base shifts with optional additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, parking lots, entry points, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals, vehicles, and deliveries entering or exiting the distribution location.
• Document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized activity and support operational continuity.

Job Schedule:

• Tue 04:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
