Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in Atlanta, GA. You will screen individuals and belongings, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service in a government location.

You will verify IDs and credentials, respond calmly to incidents, and patrol assigned areas to deter unauthorized access while maintaining a welcoming environment. Prior security and CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Competenze

• One year of security-related experience required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of persons, bags, packages, and other permitted items in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization; direct visitors to appropriate check-in areas and communicate entry requirements professionally.
• Respond to screening alarms, prohibited-item discoveries, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
