Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time at an Atlanta, GA site. This role offers fixed shifts with the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift option and a total of up to 40 hours per week when available.

Pay rate is $17.50 per hour. Responsibilities include screening, access control, responding to incidents, and patrolling to protect people and property. Minimum requirements list security experience, HS diploma, and background check; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Background check as required by law.
• Criminal history considered; will undergo drug screening as permitted by law.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles) and have a HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel at a government location.
• Screen individuals and belongings using screening procedures and equipment; escalate prohibited items.
• Verify identification and visitor authorization before entry to restricted areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols and report hazards or policy violations.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Specialist in Atlanta, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and policies at a government location.
• Screen individuals, belongings, and authorized items using established screening procedures and equipment, escalating prohibited or questionable items in accordance with site protocols.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and visitor authorization before permitting entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, reporting unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
