Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Route Survey in Markham, IL. You will provide security and customer service at a technology-focused location, conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and document activity using a computer or tablet.

You must have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license for driving posts, and pass background and drug screening. Flexible weekend nights schedule and part-time hours from late evening to early morning.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sat: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sun: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas, entry points, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
