Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Driving Patrol for Modesto, CA. You will perform driving patrols, provide customer service, and help create a safe environment for clients in a retail setting.

The role offers flexible hours with a shift schedule and a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. Successful candidates will possess a valid driver’s license and pass background checks and a drug screen as required by law.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required per Allied Universal policy.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and customer concerns calmly and follow reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, and parking areas.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity with a visible presence.

• Tue: 10:00 AM - 04:30 PM
• Thur: 10:00 AM - 04:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity through a visible presence and professional interactions.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
