Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Residential Access Control near Barnegat, NJ. This role offers flexible, dependable hours with designated site shifts and opportunities to pick up extra shifts on our scheduling platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical-related location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate access-control records, including visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery activity, and communicate unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

As a Security Officer Part Time Residential Access Control near Barnegat, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

DayTimeSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city‑issued license for security‑related work is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
