Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Access Control at a Residential Community near Barnegat, NJ. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering courteous service to residents and visitors.

This role provides flexible day/night shifts, a strong commitment to safety, and opportunities to grow within a leading nationwide security provider.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted per policy.
• License to practice security work preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
• Communicate observations, access activity, and incidents to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership through accurate reports and shift documentation.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
