Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Access Control in Barnegat, NJ. You will manage access at entry points, verify credentials, and maintain records while delivering top-tier customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors.

You will patrol, respond to incidents, and coordinate with responders to ensure safety and compliance. A high school diploma is required, with licenses and background checks as applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor/contractor records, and report unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner within the location’s procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of grounds, access points, buildings, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders, and document incidents.

Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including access concerns, alarms, and emergencies within the chemical/petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community grounds, access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders, complete accurate incident documentation, and follow applicable procedures for hazardous-area awareness.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
