Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer in Reston, VA. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, enabling you to increase earnings while building experience across sites.

Earn about $18.81 per hour with a potential to scale up hours to reach a full-time schedule when desired.

Formación

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Stewardship in Reston, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.81 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk and manage visitor access in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor access points, receive incoming calls, and direct visitors and deliveries to appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner and report concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
