Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer (Reception Operations) in Greensboro, NC. You will serve as a welcoming, highly visible presence at a retail location, managing access, assisting visitors and staff, and supporting a safe, secure environment.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Operate the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying access, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security systems from a stationary post; report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts and responders.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records and incident documentation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Operate the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying access authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to appropriate areas.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems from a stationary post; report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records, incident documentation, and other required front-desk reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
