Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part Time Security Officer (Reception Credential Resolution) in Los Angeles, CA. You will welcome visitors, manage access control, monitor alarm panels, and support a secure environment at a commercial real estate site.

You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with tenants and guests, and respond to security-related concerns.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate front desk while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying credentials as applicable, issuing visitor passes, and directing guests according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records and communicate relevant information to building management and authorized personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Monitor front desk communications, receive calls and deliveries, and report unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
