Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, seeks a Part Time Front Desk Security Officer in Concord, CA. Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at a front desk location within a financial institution by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Greet and assist employees, customers, vendors, and visitors; verify access authorization and direct individuals to the appropriate office or service area.
• Monitor lobby activity, access points, alarms, cameras, and other security systems; report unusual activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; contact appropriate personnel or emergency services when required.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs and incident reports while protecting confidential information.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service at a front desk location within a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Greet and assist employees, customers, vendors, and visitors; verify access authorization and direct individuals to the appropriate office or service area.
• Monitor lobby activity, access points, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems; promptly report unusual activity or equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when required.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records, incident reports, and other required documentation while protecting confidential information.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
