Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or eligibility required.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Background check required by law and policy.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Staff the front desk, greet visitors, verify access, and maintain visitor logs.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly and escalate as needed.
• Monitor entrances and reception areas to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Provide information and assistance to the campus community with a welcoming presence.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify access authorization, and maintain visitor logs and related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor entrances, reception areas, and available communications systems, helping to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Provide information and assistance to the campus community while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence at the front desk.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
