Allied Universal in Littleton, CO, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer with clearance preferred to monitor access, patrol premises, and deter security incidents. You will interact with employees and guests, support badge/access-control tasks, and communicate observations clearly to leadership.

The position requires an active DoD secret clearance; sponsorship is limited and contingent on business needs. Schedule includes daytime shifts across multiple days, with a pay rate of $26.26 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply in some locations.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, and document visitor activity per site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents and observations and communicate them to leadership.

This position requires an active DOD secret security clearance. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, billing operations spaces, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Hold an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
