Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Access Control) in Colorado Springs, CO. The role focuses on visitor management, access control, and front-desk duties to support a safe campus environment.

Responsibilities include enforcing site procedures, coordinating with campus partners, and using security systems to address incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Formación

• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Ages: 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Criminal history considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing as required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors and campus partners by following site procedures and access-control practices.
• Staff a front desk, greet visitors, verify IDs, and maintain visitor records.
• Monitor entry points, cameras, alarms and security systems; report issues to relevant personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies, following campus protocols.
• Provide information and communicate clearly to campus stakeholders and responders to maintain a welcoming environment.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Staff a front desk location, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and authorization as required, and maintain visitor records in accordance with campus policies.
• Monitor entry points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Support a professional and welcoming educational environment by providing information, answering questions, and communicating clearly with campus stakeholders and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
