Allied Universal, Mount Laurel, NJ, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer at an automotive rental location. You will welcome visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, support badge processes, and respond to security concerns with professionalism.

The role offers part-time hours with a daytime/night schedule and the opportunity to build a flexible schedule and develop through our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles) and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and employees at an automotive rental location by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk and control access by greeting individuals, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests.
• Monitor entry points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems and report issues to leadership and site contacts.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally, following site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor, access, incident, and shift records and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and employees at an automotive rental location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk and control access by greeting individuals, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to appropriate areas.
• Monitor entry points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the front desk; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor, access, incident, and shift activity records; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
