Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part Time Security Officer in Ironton, OH. The role focuses on unarmed patrols at an industrial site, with duties including access control, incident response, and customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

You will operate with a flexible weekend schedule, monitoring assigned areas, documenting activity, and maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents while supporting site

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and access points to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor and contractor authorization, maintaining visitor records, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required incident documentation.
• Support emergency response activities by following site-specific instructions, assisting with evacuations when directed, and communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.47 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
