Qualifications

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of data center buildings and surrounding areas to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations per protocols.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports and shift communications maintaining awareness of conditions.

• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of data center buildings, access points, perimeter areas, parking facilities, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to established protocols.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining awareness of changing conditions throughout the assigned location.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
