Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Mobile Patrol in Sparks, NV. You will serve employees, contractors, visitors, and the public, carrying out site-specific procedures and security responsibilities at a utility location.

You will conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities, monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain logs. You will report incidents, prepare daily activity reports, and ensure timely handoffs according to site requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.
• Guard card or license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, administrative areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 05:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Tue 05:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• This is primarily a driving post.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
