Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facilities services company, is hiring a Security Officer Patrol in Sparks, NV to guard clients across Tech/Media/Telecom environments. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high‑availability data center, you will patrol, control access points, monitor alarms and cameras, and provide professional customer service. This full‑time role pays $25.21 per hour with benefits, training, and growth opportunities within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Armed roles require 21+; unarmed roles 18+.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers at a data center per site procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the data center campus, reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, alarms, cameras, and credential verification; follow visitor procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify site contacts and leadership, and complete documentation.
• Maintain accurate logs and shift communications to support a professional, customer-focused environment.

Security Officer Patrol in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Pay Rate: $25.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the data center campus, including building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, perimeter points, and critical infrastructure areas, while reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems; verify credentials and follow established visitor and contractor entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and complete required documentation.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting a professional, customer-focused environment for a high-availability technology location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
