Job summary

Allied Universal in Dover, DE, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for government locations. You will provide customer service, perform access control, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents while maintaining logs and professional communication with staff and responders.

The role offers weekend shifts and a flexible schedule via the Claim a Shift platform. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, background check, and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter security-related activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports in accordance with site policies.
• Communicate professionally with government personnel, visitors, and emergency responders while following applicable post orders and Allied Universal procedures.

What You’ll Do
