Job summary

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants may be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow established protocols; notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain awareness of visitor activity, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
