Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• New Jersey RPO Certificate required.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations and other events calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor entry points and visitor activity; report unauthorized persons and suspicious activity to site contacts.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and patrol reports per Allied Universal and site procedures.

Pay Rate: $25.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school and site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, athletic facilities, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with entry procedures and reporting unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, and/or facility concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
