Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Holmdel, NJ. The role offers fixed shifts with the possibility to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, designed for flexible, on-site work at a utilities location.

Pay is $23.34 per hour with a schedule that includes a fixed anchor shift and optional extra shifts to increase earnings, providing income stability and a path toward full-time opportunities in the industry leader’s team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• 21+ years of age.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and critical infrastructure locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol findings, incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.

As a Security Officer Part Time in Holmdel, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.34 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 06:30 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
