Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Los Angeles, CA. This role offers flexible scheduling with fixed anchor shifts and options to pick up additional shifts, supporting part-time income with potential to grow into a full-time schedule.

You will perform security duties, respond to incidents, patrol facilities, and document activities while complying with site policies. A valid driver’s license and background screening are required; CPR/First Aid are preferred.

As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Driver and Badge Reviewin Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the technology facility, including interior spaces, exterior areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and security‑related observations in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
