Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public at a government law enforcement location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies calmly and professionally, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public-access areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, observe visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports with professional communication.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public at a government law enforcement location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public-access areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, observe visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining professional communication with personnel, visitors, and responding agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
