Allied Universal in New York, NY is hiring a Part-Time Security Guard/Unarmed Patrol Officer to safeguard campus facilities and students. You’ll conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, and respond calmly to incidents following established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and campus perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access when required, and reporting access-related concerns to designated personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
