As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Boundary Monitoring in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic higher education location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or other campus community members while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to supervisors and campus stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
