Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time site patrol in Tar Heel, NC. You will safeguard clients, monitor access, and respond to incidents while providing exceptional customer service at a food and beverage production location.

As a part-time role, you can build a flexible schedule and gain access to training and growth opportunities through Allied Universal. A guard card or license is preferred, with required background checks and a drug screen where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a food and beverage production location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, loading docks, parking areas, entrances, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, vendors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
