Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Tampa, FL, to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will perform unarmed patrols, provide customer service, deter incidents, monitor access, and respond calmly to incidents according to site procedures.

Minimum requirements include 18+ years old, a high school diploma, and passing background checks and drug screening. Positions are on-site with a $16.00/hour pay rate and rotating shift options.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, vehicle entrances, trailer yards, employee parking areas, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe vehicle and pedestrian activity, reporting unusual conditions or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and documenting relevant details.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly flow of authorized personnel, visitors, and delivery-related traffic while helping to deter unauthorized access.
