Job summary

Allied Universal in Clearwater, FL, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to patrol retail and commercial sites and provide excellent customer service. This role involves driving to sites, performing routine patrols, and using digital reporting tools to document activities and incidents.

You will join a flexible, team-oriented environment with opportunities to build a schedule on evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols in retail areas, parking lots, entrances, and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents and service requests calmly and professionally, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and observation of property activity.
• Document patrols, incidents and observations accurately per site procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to visitors and tenants. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and observation of retail property activity while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possession of a guard card or applicable license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
