Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed for Kokomo, IN. This role offers flexible fixed shifts with an anchor schedule and optional extra shifts to increase earnings.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points, assist with visitor and contractor procedures, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports while maintaining professional communication with property management, tenants, and emergency responders.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Kokomo, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you.

Job Schedule:

Wed: 12:00 PM - 09:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
