Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time - Overnights in Coralville, IA. You will provide security and customer service at an aerospace/defense site, performing routine patrols, monitoring access, and documenting incidents with professional conduct.

You will work part-time overnights, using computer tools for reporting, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while upholding company standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen to be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access activity and report observed security concerns to site contacts and leadership.
• Complete accurate incident reports and logs in accordance with site procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access activity and report observed security-related concerns, hazards, and maintenance issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
