Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors and follow site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and support visitor and contractor entry procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations and document observations.
• Report unusual activity or hazards to the appropriate personnel.

As a Security Guard - Part Time - Weekends in Coralville, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location. Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control and badge processes. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.17 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor access points and support visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Report unusual activity, property concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate personnel to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
