Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard (Unarmed) at a San Diego, CA location. You will monitor and protect a financial institution, perform access control, and maintain a visible security presence.

Position is 100% on-site with a BLS schedule; pay is $21.50 per hour. Successful candidates will complete routine patrols, document activity, and respond to incidents according to site procedures.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required where allowed by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a financial institution location following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and suspicious activity calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report irregularities to site personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and incident documentation per Allied Universal procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a financial institution location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control and badge processes, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and document security-related activity using computer or tablet tools. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Thur 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Fri 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Sat 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a financial institution location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report irregularities, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
