Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time overnight role at an apartment complex in San Diego, CA. You will greet residents and visitors, manage access, and address security-related concerns while upholding safety procedures.

This position offers a flexible schedule with opportunities to claim additional shifts via our platform, plus ongoing training and growth within a trusted national security provider.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to the residential location, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, package, and incident records.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general information, and communicate resident or visitor concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and notify emergency responders and/or site contacts as appropriate.
• Observe front desk and entry-area activity, report unusual conditions or policy violations, and help to deter unauthorized access.

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
