Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Shoreview, MN. You will provide customer service, perform unarmed patrols at a financial institution, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining a secure environment through teamwork and integrity.

The role requires 2+ years in security, badge/access experience, and a high school diploma. Work schedule includes Friday and Saturday nights with a shift from 11 PM to 7 AM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents professionally and follow site procedures, contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports per Allied Universal requirements.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. Pay Rate: $23.65 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting emergency services and/or management when appropriate.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
