Job summary

Allied Universal in Woodbury, MN is seeking a part-time Security Officer to safeguard clients across technology, media, and telecom sites. You will patrol, monitor access, and deliver professional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior/exterior spaces, parking locations, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and site activity, reporting unusual conditions and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation per site requirements.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe site activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
