Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Minneapolis, MN. This role offers a fixed anchor shift with the option to pick up additional shifts to boost earnings, creating a flexible, dependable schedule for you.

You’ll provide client security, handle incidents calmly, patrol the site, monitor access points, and report observations to site leadership, contributing to a safe, professional environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the office property.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Minneapolis, MN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

$20.50 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the office property, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security‑related incidents according to site procedures.
• Complete required reports and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
